Founding Recruiter (NYC) | Antimetal

Antimetal is building the future of infrastructure management. We are creating a platform that investigates, resolves, and prevents infrastructure issues automatically—giving engineers their valuable time back to focus on building great products.

As our Founding Recruiter, you will be the architect of our talent engine. Operating from our new, spacious office in New York City, you will take ownership of our recruiting funnel from day one. You will find, engage, and close the elite individuals who will define the culture, business, and success of Antimetal. This is not just a coordination role; you will be a strategic partner to the founders, building our recruiting systems from scratch and growing into broader People and Operations initiatives.

• Funnel Ownership: Manage the end-to-end recruiting pipeline from initial sourcing and screen to offer close across Engineering, Go-To-Market (GTM), and Operations.

• Aggressive Outbound Sourcing: Build targeted candidate lists and run high-converting, personalized outbound sequences. Treat talent sourcing with the same discipline and persistence as a top-tier SDR manages a sales pipeline.

• Talent Infrastructure & Operations: Design, implement, and iterate on our recruiting infrastructure, including outreach templates, intake workflows, ATS hygiene, and funnel metrics.

• Strategic Partnership: Partner closely with hiring managers and founders to calibrate roles, advise on compensation bands, contribute to org design, and maintain an exceptionally high quality bar.

• Candidate Experience & Onboarding: Deliver a premium, responsive candidate journey. As you scale, collaborate with the Head of Ops on onboarding programs, People strategy, and team culture.

• Professional Experience: 2–5 years of experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, or a highly active, people-facing commercial role (e.g., SDR, AE, partnerships).

• Technical Literacy: Comfort recruiting for technical roles (engineering, infrastructure, devtools) or a proven ability to grasp complex technical concepts and speak the language of engineers.

• Proven Sales & Closing Track Record: Demonstrated ability to pitch a company's vision and close candidates who have multiple competing offers.

• High Agency & Execution: A self-starter mindset with the ability to identify what needs to be done and execute independently in a fast-paced startup environment.

• Location: Excited to work fully in-person from our office in New York City.

• AI Tool Fluency (Bonus): Active utilization of AI tools to accelerate sourcing, draft outreach, and optimize workflows.

• Background (Bonus): Prior experience recruiting software engineers at a venture-backed startup, executive search firm, or VC talent team.
