Head of Finance

Dodo Payments is a global billing and monetization platform designed for AI-native companies, SaaS startups, and digital businesses. The platform helps companies accept payments internationally, automate subscription and usage-based billing, and stay compliant with tax regulations across 220+ countries.

As a Merchant of Record platform, Dodo Payments collects payments on behalf of thousands of businesses and distributes payouts globally. This creates complex financial operations involving multi-entity accounting, currency management, global tax compliance, and cross-border payouts.

The company is looking for a Head of Finance who will build and manage the financial infrastructure that supports these global operations. The role focuses on financial strategy, operational finance, and regulatory compliance.

This position works closely with the founders and is responsible for ensuring that the company’s financial systems remain accurate, scalable, and efficient as the business grows.

• Manage multi-entity accounting and financial consolidation across international operations.

• Oversee global payout operations to businesses using the Dodo Payments platform.

• Develop and manage foreign exchange strategies and treasury operations.

• Ensure compliance with global tax regulations including VAT, GST, and sales tax.

• Prepare financial reports including MIS reports, cash flow analysis, and board-level summaries.

• Lead monthly financial closing processes and ensure compliance with GAAP or IFRS standards.

• Manage payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and operational finance processes.

• Build scalable finance systems and automation to improve operational efficiency.

• Support audits, financial reporting, and investor-related documentation.

• 4+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or financial operations.

• At least 1 year of leadership or team management experience.

• Professional accounting qualification such as CA, CPA, or equivalent.

• Strong understanding of multi-entity and multi-currency accounting systems.

• Experience with global tax compliance, including VAT, GST, or sales tax frameworks.

• Solid knowledge of treasury management, cash flow planning, and foreign exchange strategies.

• Ability to work closely with founders and leadership teams in fast-paced environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in fintech, payments, or Merchant of Record platforms.

• Familiarity with international payout systems and cross-border financial infrastructure.

• Experience managing financial audits and investor due diligence processes.

• Background in global tax automation systems.

• Additional qualifications such as CFA or MBA from a recognized institution.
